He took his musical and instrumental studies at the Conservatoire de Bordeaux, where he obtained a Golden medal in Lyric Art and the Opéra de Paris Golden Metal in Voice.

He was finalist at the school of Scala de Milan in June, 1988. Finalist and first to be named for the Competition of the Golden Voices of Rouen in November of the same year, and finalist for the Competition of the New Voices in January, 1989.

He begun his career by interpreting Rossini's Petite Mezza Solennelle, Mozart's Requiem and the role of the pupil in Wagner's Die Meistersinger at the Opéra de Paris.

Since 1991, he has ocurred on the main French scenes, and in particular in the Theaters and Operas of Angers, Bordeaux, Orange and Avignon, where he has sung Norma, La Vie Parisienne, Fîdélio, Riggoletto, Le Nozzes de Figaro, Die Zauber Flôte, La Traviata, Salome, Carmen, Aida.
